Надо составить список it-дел на лето, чтобы в сентябре понять, что успел, что нет. Порядок рандомный:

- Потрогать что-нибудь embeded уровнем повыше ардуино, сделать реально РАБОТАЮЩУЮ И ПОЛЕЗНУЮ штуку (Bluetooth receiver для колонки)

- Перестроить домашнюю инфру, а именно #nixos система на мейн пк, мониторинги, общие папки, впн доступ, семейная хранилка паролей

- Продолжить разбираться с #go, поделать #spectrumшиза

- Заработать денег, желательно мозгами, желательно чтобы хватило на ноут

- Потрогать #i2p и #yggdrassil, чтобы уже наконец-то скинуть @kirill треки (я помню!)

- Доделать тг бота для чата своего тгк

- Научить маму пользоваться нейронками для работы

- Зарайсить телефон (опционально)

- Сделать ещё 1 WiFi точку в квартире, ибо заебал слабый сигнал

- Потрогать #pfsense и всякое такое, чтобы сечь рекламу и прочую нечисть на роутере (возможно придётся купить роутер)

- Разобрать старые файлы, пережать плохо пожатые видосы (тут надо зашарить за #h264)

Wieder ein #Linux Problem gelöst.
Gestern habe ich aus einen Video einen kurzen Schnipsel extrahieren wollen und den dann immer wiederholen, bis 10 Sekunden zusammen kommen. Die Software war schnell gefunden: #kdenlive
Aber der #h264 Codec lief beim Export nicht.
Lösung: Nicht #ffmpeg aus dem original #Fedora Repository verwenden, sondern das #rpmfusion-free Repository einbinden und das Paket ffmpeg daraus installieren. Läuft

Langsam beschleicht mich der Verdacht, das Fedora keine gute Wahl war

Acabo de hacer pruebas con #Kdenlive y parece que, después de meses, no le han echado un vistazo a esto. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492708

Es una pena que los formatos de vídeo libres tengan tan poco apoyo entre los círculos del #SoftwareLibre, porque sé que #PeerTube le da la espalda a #VP9 y #AV1.

Pues nada, a seguir tirando de la bazofia privativa e ineficiente de #H264 / #x264, y como no, con el también privativo #AAC para el audio frente a #OGG y #Opus.

Scrolling is broken and sometimes when doomscrolling #youtube shorts video is hanging though audio keeps running.
Super annoying when such big companies decide to use proprietary and heavily marketed solutions as they default driver.

@noondlyt I think it might be a picture format based on H.265 or H.264, but am not sure it is.

Fedora does not play mainstream media (such as H.264) out-of-the-box :revblobfoxdrakedislike:

But with RPM Fusion configured and some packages reinstalled - it can :revblobfoxdrakelike:

sudo dnf install libavcodec-freeworld ffmpeg --allowerasing

Note that ffmpeg (coming from RPM Fusion) must overwrite ffmpeg-free (coming from @fedora repo) :beaker:

Also worth noting VLC (from :fedora: repo) will do hardware decoding with correct libavcodec and ffmpeg present :blobcatcheer:

Handling #HECV/ #H265 #video files under #linux is pain in the ass.

Had to convert them to #H264 to be able to handle them appropriatly. That took ages not only because of the fact that this is a lot of encoding but also because the tool (#handbrake gui) I used crashed plenty of time. Using HandBrake-CLI seems to work much better and stable.

Esto de los #códecs libres es una auténtica locura, alucinante de principio a fin.

Resulta que estoy convirtiendo unos videos HD filmados con un #iPodtouch (códecs: #H264 + #AAC) a #AV1 + #Opus, en contenedor #MKV ( #Matroska) con #HandBrake.

Los videos convertidos terminan teniendo alrededor del 14% del tamaño de los videos originales, y no percibo aparente pérdida de calidad (¡además de hacerlo compatible con muchos más dispositivos! :laptop_parrot:).

Кстати, вчерашний день потратил на уменьшение своей коллекции онямешек с 50 Гб до 25 Гб. Да ещё некоторые тайтлы перекачал в 1080р.

Видео - первое что ищем - #AV1, если нет, то #H265, можно и #H264, но только если мало весит.
Звук - нахуй все ваши #Flac, #AAC и #TrueHD, конвертируем всё в #Opus 128k. Оставляем только оригинальную дорожку.
Субтитры - оставляем только русские. #Ass, #UTF8.
Аттачменты - убираем всё, что не ломает ваши сабы.

Наслаждаемся тайтлами в отличном качестве при минимальном весе! ​:blobcatthumbsup:​

Got my ffmpeg script to successfully, and continuously, pump a 1080p 30fps live USB camera feed to YouTube from my Raspberry Pi 4.

It's taken a lot more trial and erroring than the resulting script size would have you believe, so I presume this is useful to others. 👍

Сегодняшний вечер был посвящён кодированию видео.

1. Конвертируем H264 .mp4 в ,yuv
2. Кодируем .yuv в AV1 .mkv

Итог:

Было - Danmachi_1080p_30s.mp4 - 193.7 MiB
Получил - Danmachi_1080p_30s.yuv - 4.2 GiB
Результат - Danmachi_1080p_30s.mkv - 4.2 MiB

Затрата времени на ролик длиной 30 секунд - 4-5 минут.

Считаю это победой.

I feel dumb. I spent quite a lot of time setting up a security system using #MotionEye on various #RaspberryPi boards with v2 cameras. It has been nearly eight months and I just NOW figure out that the reason pictures record and the videos didn't was because I had the wrong version of #h264 encoding selected. Eight. Months.

Only 1170 days until the last patents on #h264 codecs expire!

Downloaded some sample #av1 files. #Firefox is the only one that can play them (and yet, av1 doesn't work on #youtube on my #debian, but works elsewhere). When I try #Gnome #Videos, and #XFce's Parole media players, they can't play them at all, and crash. #VLC can play them, but it crashes a few seconds in. And that's with best decoder card in the market (Intel A310, latest va driver). Reminds me of the early days of #h264 and #hevc. Here we go again, every few years.
