Malachi Walker recently shared his experience at his first Hacker Summer Camp! Something he noticed at Black Hat was how everything took place in Mandalay Bay, so it was easy to get from session to session. The format also allowed for presentations on the show floor (shoutout to Andrew Bukta for his talk on the importance of DNS as not just a component, but as the backbone of the network in the @infoblox booth!)

Home sweet home. I'll be masking around my wife and kids for a couple days while I let whatever germs I may have picked up make themselves known. Hopefully my masking was enough (N95, P99) but I definitely was the least disciplined about it this year than I have been the previous 3.
Further, despite the very tall ceilings in the LVCC, my CO2 meter never registered below 1100 PPM, which registers amber in the traffic light protocol scale. Often it was in the red ESPECIALLY in the workshops. Basically, ventilation was atrocious at #defcon while #bsideslv did an EXCELLENT job in that department in a much smaller space. I took readings at the Tuscany that were often in the triple digits.
Regardless, I hope everyone manages to stay healthy and I'll see you next year!
