Gaitherin the fallen leaves,
An autumn trauchle.

makes my eyes all misty with
franchise memories

the sky is mirrored
in the lake; at its far end
a flock of geese rest

high overhead
a chevron of wild geese
migrating south

find unsent email
to your dad, stop now
polish your glasses

A windy fall day;
Caught in the spider’s web—
Tufts of pampas grass.

rain's gentle tapping
while it's flowing down the roof
moon hidden by clouds

Predawn theatrics
Earth turns slowly toward day
Old Sol's poised to pounce

No my darling child
You cannot wear soccer shorts
Today it’s too cold

Daughter's breakfast scraps
She's right; my toast is bangin'
She's a lucky kid

Thrilled now to inhale
Fall's first chilly morning air
Almost missed the bus

off into the misty gray
instinct driven haze

The barnyard erupts
As geese squabble over corn
'Til each have their fill.
