(RAINBOW) FLASH RAFFLE
Feeling frustrated by the state of the world? Want to support a good cause? Need some bright warmth for your tootsies?
I'm currently knitting these rainbow socks for an online competition and especially since it's Pride Month, I would love to give them to someone who supports the rainbow community.
Donate NZ$5 or more to any Sweat with Pride campaign and send me a screenshot. Every $5 will get you an entry into the draw. I will close the raffle at 23:59 on Wednesday June 18 NZT OR when donations reach $1000 (or thereabouts, giving you a great chance to win!).
These socks will fit a medium to large adult foot and ankle/calf, and I will tailor the length for the winner or their nominated recipient (between approx. 24 and 28 cm in foot length, EU38-43). Yarn is Chapter Sock (80% merino, 20% nylon) by @narrativeyarns_nz in the colourway Rainbow Flash.

finished knitting and washed merino wool bike shorts. I altered the Berroco Forsyth pattern to be more fitted, low waist, my fav oval elastic threaded thru eyelet holes, ribbed cuffs. Circular needles size US 1.5 🧶Knitting the short rows was fun and it fits pretty well, the cuffs might still be too tight even though I added yarnovers every other stitch when casting off. Might add reinforcement between legs later will see after I bike in them a few times. Unfortunately I found out too late that the yarn Koigu Premium Merino has a superwash merino base which accounts for that kind of sticky texture. It didn’t say anywhere in the description of the yarn that it had a superwash base, I found out on the company website. So a learning lesson for me, research the yarn more carefully!
