In 2013, I created a playful and colorful screenprint series featuring animals from a children's book project that never made it to publication. This limited edition of 28 hand-printed pieces includes this illustration of an elephant. Each screenprint uses three vibrant, warm tones printed on 100% cotton paper, handmade from reclaimed fabric scraps. All prints are signed and numbered.

New linocut print! 💚🍓
It’s been just over a year now since i started carving & printing illustrations this way and i’m pleased to report that i’ve been having a blast all the way & i absolutely plan on keeping up :D I have lots of ideas & ambitions for the future (and i also need to finally set up an online shop to share my works in a more organized way than just selling prints on here). Over the last few days, i made my first reduction linocut print, in which i carved all colours on the same block and removed parts of my illustration between each colour pass to get an interesting layering effect (pictures below might help you get a better understanding of the process). It was very fun and i learned a lot, so that’s definitely something i’ll do again in the future! Although right now i kinda want to go back to digital illustration and one-colour linocuts for just a bit :)

Jōchi-ji, Kamakura, octobre 2018

Un de mes plus beaux souvenirs du Japon, une balade à travers la forêt entre la gare de Kita-Kamakura, située en face d'Engaku-ji et Hasedera, autre très grand moment de ce voyage. Le chemin est parsemé de temples, parmi les plus beaux que j'ai vu, même par rapport à ceux de Kyoto, Tokyo et Nara.

Photo en noir blanc prise dans le temple de Jochi-ji à Kamakura, au sud de Tokyo. La photo montre une allée du cimetière, bordée de vielles sépultures. Au bout de l'année, l'une de ces sépultures, situées sous les arbres de la forêt envoronnantes.

Aujourd'hui, c'était Mardi Tirage.

Deux photos qui ont bénéficié pour l'une de quelques erreurs d'estimation de temps d'exposition et pour l'autre de tests de grade.
La première rejoindra ma série "Kollaps", la seconde, je ne sais pas, elle ne colle peut-être pas complètement.
