Some minorities when they are attacked, have to fight for the abuse to be considered a 'hate crime' more than others....
When you constrast the size of the communities, it isn't even in same ballpark.
Jews make up 3.6% of Toronto, while 18% of Toronto is LGBTQ+, with some overlap.
But if there are more hate crimes against Jews than LGBTQ+ folks, then proportionally it's off the charts.
