#Gardens in the #Cotswolds (2). Our visit to #Hidcote Manor Garden was one of the highlights of this week. This Arts & Crafts garden was designed by the American L. Waterbury Johnston (1871-1958). With his 'chambers' he inspired Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson of Sissinghurst. #gardening

Today, we visited Hidcote Gardens in Gloucestershire to see an exhibition of flowers-on-tulle by artist Olga Prinku (prinku.com/hidcote). Having admired the intricate artwork, we spent the rest of the afternoon wandering the beautiful gardens that inspired the artist.

A circular frame contains an intricate network of brown twigs. Reminiscent of bare branches in the lower half, they are full of small pink flowers in the top half of the frame. A golden sun shines through the branches on the right.A circular frame contains a variety of flowers, giving the impression of a wildflower meadow in full bloom. The dominant colour is golden yellow, but there are blue, red, pink, and white flowers too.

Last weekend we went to the garden at #Hidcote, a famous "arts and crafts" garden in the Cotswolds, for a bit of inspiration for our own plot, plus a nice walk. Next week I'm going to be breaking and moving about 5 tonnes of concrete and brick path, plus a tonne or two of gravel, so we can seed some grass and expand the beds a bit. Going to be fun... Anyway, here's a flower. #bloomscrolling
