This is a landscape format photo of an autumn scene taking along a flat section of an accessible hiking trail which passes through an urban forest. The trail is about eight feet wide at this point and has deciduous tress on both sides. The tree branches from both sides of the trail form an arch overhead, with the leaves being a vibrant yellow-gold colour. The trail's surface is covered with leaves that have already fallen. This photo definitely has an autumn vibe to it.

Throwback to a nice day close to home in May 2024: Together with two friends I completed stage 8 of the "Albsteig" from Wiesensteig to Owen.

Looking south across the Chilliwack River (below, not shown) from Elk Mountain to Mount McGuire, the peak to the left. There is a rock face with trees and other plants. There's a ribbon of cloud obscuring the Cascade Mountain Range across the valley. Currently much of the valley is flooded due to an atmospheric river: Something that is getting to be a common event.

This is a landscape format photo of a mostly frozen pond in a wetland area, after freshly fallen snow. The pond is snow covered over much of its surface area. The sky is a vivid blue with puffy while clouds in view. Trees encircle the pond and they are coated in snow which has become frozen in place after a quick cool down, following a snowfall of wet snow. This photo has a real wintery feel to it.

This is a landscape format photo of a snow laden accessible hiking trail in an urban forested area. It was a sunny day, so strong shadows from the trees can be seen on the ground. The trail curves slightly to the left ahead and has a wooded railing along the right hand side. The two wooded boards that make up the railing and the fence posts have snow on top, and many of the tree branches in the area are also snow laden. The sky that can be seen in the background through the trees is an interesting shade of blue. This photo definitely has a winter vibe to it.

A serene woodland path, winding gently through a dense forest. The trail is covered with a layer of dry, brown leaves and dirt, creating a natural, rustic atmosphere. Tall, mature trees with lush green foliage line both sides of the path, their branches intertwining overhead to form a verdant canopy. To the right, a moss-covered stone wall adds texture and a sense of age to the scene. The soft, dappled light filtering through the leaves enhances the tranquil and secluded ambiance of this picturesque forest setting.

Around Easter 2024 I visited my parents and took them and my sister on a hike.

The Menzenschwander Geißenpfad trail led us past several old Black Forest farms. We enjoyed the views and fantastic perspectives opened up onto the surrounding valleys and the village. Even the highest peak of the Black Forest (Feldberg) and its tower could be seen. The sound of goat bells accompanied us on our way.

The trail has a short wooden fence/guardrail on the right side which casts a strong shadow on the trail's surface. This image portrays a "tangly" vibe due the many overhead branches that create a "tunnel effect" as you look along the trail.
