So now what do you do? Wait for the snow to melt THEN rake? Or take a shovel and just start tossing the snow and leaves to the side?

One of the great unintended side-effects of my condo is that, even when it's 20-30 degrees outside, somehow it never dips below 30 in here.
I'm not sure if it's just really well-insulated, or if I'm getting residual heat from being in a middle unit, or if it's because I'm on an upper floor.
But, kinda nice not having to turn on the heat until it dips into the teens.

If you put in heat pump mini splits, which you absolutely should do because they’re efficient and convenient, *only* put multiple units on the same outdoor heat pump unit if they’re in the same physical room space.
They have to be set to the same mode, or they will not operate. So if you ever want two units to have different preferences, like for different bedrooms, or a guest room, put them on their own heat pump.
It’s cheaper to share a heat pump, of course, but you’ll regret it.

Occasionally, when I flush my toilets lately, the water that fills up the reservoir tank has an oily residue floating on top.
And it fizzes. Like Sprite.
I have no idea what's going on. But I feel like that's not good.
I feel like I'm channeling my late dad when I'm doing homeowner stuff in the basement. Listening to Rush, pulling nails out of the scrap plywood pile that was there when we moved in, then finishing up with a few plays on Time Machine.
