Brewing another beer today, this time an American Wheat beer, also for the summer season. I might need to make another brew for post New Year holiday times.
I am glad that I have enough family and friends that love craft beer to support me in my hobby.
So while we are waiting for the boil, I present some poetry, slightly changed.
---
I met a brewer from a local club,
Who said - "A deep and sticky fermenter
Sits in my garage... Beside it, on the floor,
A dusty lid lies, whose crusted airlock
And ring of krausen, and sneer of cold infection,
Tell that its owner well those gravities read
Which yet survive, stamped on these sticky things,
The hand that stirred them, and the yeast that fed;
And on the kettle, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandiaz, King of Brews;
Look on my Wort, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Batch, boundless and sour,
The lone and level stains stretch far away.
