A neighbour just told me that a friend of his is planning to get a loan, get a 6-apartment student housing complex built for €1.5m, and by charging not-huge rent, make his money back in 4 years. If he can do this, surely #HousingCooperatives can? Where are the housing co-ops? Swathes of Dublin semi-Ds were built by them in the 1930s; we need them back

Is there someone familiar with French housing cooperatives who help me understand the system? I am struggling to understand the various legal structures and movements (habitat participatif/coopératif, copropriété, "oasis", etc).

What should I search for to find "non-rent-seeking" opportunities? No mortgage, no landlord, no property speculation etc. Thanks in advance! (French version below)

Just heard David McWilliams saying that Vienna's population is up 12% in just 4 years, mostly due to immigration, and still they don't have skyrocketing rents. Why is that?
