Had an issue recently where my #Corsair #iCue #Link #LX140 & #LX120-R fans got locked on max speed. It was after a temp warning shutdown.

Restarting, reinstalling iCue, disconnecting and reconnecting cables; did nothing.

In the end turning off the PC and clearing CMOS fixed it.

Fans are working again.

Maybe this info will prove useful for someone else one day. Maybe no one who needs it ever finds it. Maybe no one ever has my exact issue.

#Corsair #iCue is an atrocious piece of shit software.

Upgraded to a custom #watercooling loop and flushed out Asus #ArmoryCrate, Corsair #iCue, and #NZXT CAM! 🙌 Swapped them for open-source champs: #FanControl and #OpenRGB. Pretty sure ditching the #bloatware gave me a bigger speed boost than the cooling did! 😂💻

Hm #iCUE has completely broken on my desktop even after a reinstall. One of many things I wish was just an OS-level feature instead of some crappy app

Then I did the most questionable step so far, I installed #Asus #ArmouryCrate control software. This seems to have gone well but the UI itself is very slow. Then I realized that my Corsair RAM didn't show up as a compatible aRGB device. A quick google search and I learned that I would need to install the #iCUE software in addition to Armory Crate.... This is completely my own fault for not checking this before purchasing but... also not going to happen. #PCUpgrade #PCHardware

Wouldn't it be way easier to get #iCue to #Linux, when #Corsair would make it Open Source?
Currently they say somewhere on their website, that they don't have enough workforce to make it available on Linux...
