Macs, and MACS ONLY!!!!!!! [specifically, finally updates to iMacs, and beefy update to MacBook Pros]
(All iPads have been pushed back to next years unfortunately)
With new #M3 #iMacs rumored for the 'Scary fast' event on Monday — the one thing I hope for is a wired keyboard/mouse option for the education market. Forced Bluetooth is ridiculous for labs — at this point I’d even take a BTO option to leave them out of the box.
But, I'd much rather have an #Apple wired solution.
So some Apple updates:
YES, There WILL be Apple event this month, POTENTIALLY, if there wasn’t any last minute setbacks on M3 chips.
The focus will be on M3, and iMacs.
Base model iPads could get update to faster A series chip but that’s about it.
No iPad Pro or iPad Air or iPad Mini update till next year.
Date announcement likely today if they are to hold event. Also may be press release only, but doubt it if includes major chip release.

#MacAdmin setup of a new lab of #iMacs today consisted of fighting with wired 802.1x built around #ActiveDirectory security groups throwing #macOS off the network — because — I think — a race condition with domain sync and the domain controller that the radius server is communicating with coupled with macOS giving up on authentication after sometime.
While I envision a possible Rube Goldberg machine to deal with this going forward — today’s fix was to exclude the 802.1x configuration profile.
