Snow scooter training today and yesterday at #Abisko - mandatory for people in Sweden working on scooters. Delighted to pass. It's been a long time. Sadly, I won't get an actual licence card (probably) but the pass is sufficient for #iQ2300 fieldwork in Antarctica

Snow scooter training today and yesterday - mandatory for people in Sweden working on scooters and apparently Wasa station counts. Delighted to share I passed.
Sadly, the procedure to actually get a licence as a non-resident is Byzantine, so I won't get an actual card (probably) but pass is sufficient for #iQ2300 in Antarctica

The first of 4 #CrossborderRail trains today - I'm off to Abisko in Northern Sweden for a week of field training for #iQ2300.. The first is the regional train from my local regional station to København H, where I have a 10 minute transfer to Malmø #FlyIngLess

It's been a wonderful, hectic, joyous Christmas with the family, and although it's been quite hard work, I keep thinking that I should treasure it because (with a bit of luck), next Christmas will be in Antarctica...
