The first attack against us: de la Pole got their revenge with 192 knights and 827 footmen, taking 1287 land but taking 0 gold (because we'd spent it all). They took 9 castles and razed 3, slaying 269 footmen. We slew 100 of their knights and 475 of their footmen.

The second attack against us: Howard attacked with 154 knights and 412 footmen. They took 915 land and 6 castles, razing 2 castles to the ground. They slew 191 of our footmen, while we slew 88 knights and 237 footmen.

The state of our barony. We have 4255 land, 3130 peasants, 1243 gold, 39 castles, 259 knights, and 1834 footmen. We're in 4th place.

Our forthcoming attack against house Percy consists of 200 knights and 1000 footmen. We're throwing caution to the wind here and hoping that land and gold gains will offset military losses.

The Hoverbug is a little grav tank that's so cute it just had to be brought along into this campaign. It can hover over most terrain without difficulty. Only buildings get in its way. It's faster than Combat Droids but its top speed is slower than most other units. #barrenplanet #ibmpc #msdos #cga

The Neville barony. They are currently in 2nd place, one place ahead of us in the rankings. That makes them a good target for us to attack: not too big to beat, but big enough to yield worthwhile rewards.

The Combat Droid is still the backbone of your army. It is good at trudging through snow and can even cross ice flows, slowly and with care. Only Combat Droids can occupy buildings and gain protection from them, so they are great for defending a built-up base. #barrenplanet #ibmpc #msdos #cga

Constructors build a couple of Combat Droids in the second battle of The Polar Expedition. Combat Droids are excellent for occupying buildings and sniping at passing enemy units. They are the same unit as that used in the First Landing campaign supplied with Barren Planet.

The report of our successful attack against house Cavendish. We took 793 land and looted 114 gold. We took 5 castles and razed 3, slaying 318 footmen. We lost 85 knights and 333 footmen in the attack.

The military improvements we ordered in February have been delivered: 2 castles, 50 knights, and 39 footmen. These were modest, as we had little gold.

The state of the Villiers barony in March. We have 4109 land, 2764 peasants, 266 gold, 45 castles, 345 knights, and 2364 footmen.

Our next attack against house Percy, who are just ahead of us in the rankings: 145 knights, and 364 footmen. We're still trying to maintain a force of 200 knights and 2000 footmen at home, although we'll probably not be able to do this for much longer.

This has always been a bit confusing to me: The original Sim City "Graphics Pack 1 - Ancient Cities" was also known as "Architecture 2" in its European release. At the same time, it always contained the same three graphic themes: "Ancient Asia", "Medieval Times" and "Wild West".

The start of the second battle of The Polar Expedition, after Nuvutech has secured the area. This is the same landscape as the first battle (see earlier in thread), but Buildings and Roads have since been constructed, and can be used to defend units and speed up movement.

Nachdem mir letztens eine originale, deutsche Startdiskette für einen IBM PS/2 Modell 30-286er zugelaufen war, hab' ich sie gerade mal verwendet um einen solchen Rechner, emuliert in 86Box, einzurichten und zu booten.

Funktioniert wunderbar mit IBM DOS-Version 3.30!

Alles blitzsauber und praktisch wie neu. Die Datenträger sind perfekt lesbar. Gekostet hat mich das ganze Paket lediglich ca. 22€ mit Versand. Stammt angeblich aus einer alten Firmenauflösung.
