Well hell, folks. I knew this project would take an eternity, but damn 🥲 it took a ridiculous amount of evers to get through the first yarn cake and it felt like it never got smaller. Taking a break from the main body to add an i-cord neckline for stability. Then going in with the second yarn cake to add a bit more length. Hanging in there because the ombre is so beautiful and the fabric drape is amazing 🥹

Decided to stay up and finish the swatch. Two episodes of Father Brown later, i-cord loop complete, inside yarn ends trimmed. Colors in the photo are not at all true. It's going in a hot bath now and I'll get another picture tomorrow.

Well it looks promising and I'm pleased with the colors. It's soft and squishy and might turn out to be gorgeous. But! It's going to be difficult to wear, because the yarn is prone to fuzzing and there are long floats. Singles were used for the prototypes, so I felt that choosing singles wasn't a bad idea, but heaven forbid this should get anywhere near velcro or any toothsome surface.
