The horn antenna is usually parked upside-down to prevent pigeons from defecating inside it. The day that I visited was an #IEEE conference at the site. They rotated the antenna. They didn't orient it towards the sky because of the rain. It is aimed at the horizon.

The team behind the #JamesWebbSpaceTelescope (#JWST) just scored the Simon Ramo Medal, given by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (#IEEE) for exceptional achievement in systems engineering and systems science.
The award is well deserved, considering how the JWST – a project with contributors including #NASA, #ESA, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) – turned out.

IEEE is hosting an event on how to build an AI agent, it's not free even for members and they send an email to advertise it every day for a week now (I may be exaggerating but it sure feels like that).

For AI gods' sake, the internet is full of free stuff and cities are full of free meetups for this sort of thing, why does IEEE has to be cringe and stingy at the same time?
