In un’atmosfera di emergenza e crisi permanente, il complottismo è destinato a proliferare, alimentato da internet e dai social network, ma anche dal nichilismo delle oligarchie al potere, sempre più responsabili dell’impoverimento delle popolazioni e della distruzione delle condizioni di vita sulla terra.
Non abbiamo di fronte pochi burattinai occulti, ma un’élite che non fa mistero di voler accentrare sempre più denaro e potere e che, grazie ai progetti di digitalizzazione totale e controllo del vivente, sta mettendo a dura prova l’autonomia e le libertà individuali e collettive, mantenendo le persone in uno stato di straordinaria dipendenza dal sistema.
Questo libro affronta le questioni sollevate dalle teorie complottiste – che a volte colpiscono nel segno e altre volte si perdono fuori bersaglio – ricollocandole in una prospettiva politica di cambiamento sociale reale.
D’altra parte, come la storia ci ha insegnato, perché mai dovremmo fidarci di politici, industriali e giornalisti?

So, we are signing an agreement with city of #Gliwice, to set up a "#climate #infoshop" there (codename SPInKa).
We plan to start with an automated infokiosk, placed in public space for everyone to use.
Tech-wise it will be an old laptop with one or two displays (one touchscreen), running a browser in kiosk mode, serving local (federated) instance of dokuwiki (tentatively selected). It will be a prototype for the wholw network, all free and open licences ofc.
Now, we are looking for someone to help us create a front/template for such a kiosk, plus somoeonw to coordinate the "user experience" design.
If you are such person, please let us know. If you know one, let them know.

All of the Desert Stories zines are available from the OulUtopia distro. Issues 1-6 have been available there since the anarchist bookfair of Riga and the latest issue "Stormy Spaces" should arrive to them this week.

OulUtopia distro has also the other Rojava related zines that Babirussa babirussa has published (plus a lot of other good and interesting stuff about Rojava).

Does anyone in the #Toronto area remember #GlobalAware? There seems to be little web coverage left of the place. I used to visit it a lot. #InfoShop

Since last winter I have published 4 issues of Desert Stories -zines. They have photos from Rojava and stories that I wrote while being there. Both unpublished and already published ones. New issues will be still published during this year and hopefully during next winter also a photobook!

These little zines are available for purchase in some lovely places like the bookstore Het Fort van Sjakoo (Amsterdam), Black Mosquito webstore and also in few Infoshops like 56a (London), Mustan Kaninkolo (Helsinki) and a zine/art store Laitapuoti (Tampere).
