Losing interest

Before I was diagnosed with AuDHD, I always wondered why I could be very interested, fixated even, on certain things for a few very intense moments, and then, suddenly without cause, just totally lose that interest... I had never heard about hyperfocus and/or "autistic special interests" (more about that here). I just could not understand it. And it annoyed me a lot, especially when the fixation/focus had made me invest (money) in this interest, and then it "just" ends... I've been browsing the web a bit about this, and tried to collect some info on it. I know that the autistic side deals differently with the interests compared to the ADHD side. And, of couse, these two mix it up. I found several things, copied them all, and then... I cheated a bit... 🫣I copied all the bits I found interesting into an AI app, and asked if it could compile a nice list for me. I know, people don't like this. But, these days, due to missing my usual routine, due to all the last-minute extra things here and there, I am just so low on spoons... So, I'd rather be honest about having asked it for help. But, I did find the info that I wanted to share using the mighty Duck search engine. […]

Just days after mortgage rates hit a three-year low, sparking a near-instant surge in applications, fresh trade tensions are threatening to undo that progress.

Rates on a 30-year mortgage jumped 14 basis points to an average of 6.21% on Tuesday morning, according to Mortgage News Daily, following new escalations in the standoff between President Trump and European leaders over the future of Greenland.

After being repeatedly rebuffed in efforts to take control of the Danish territory, Trump threatened to impose punitive 10% tariffs on eight European nations starting Feb. 1, and eventually ratchet the tariffs up to 25%. European leaders are now weighing their response.

But who was Marion Stokes, and why did she undertake this project? And more importantly, what happened to all of those tapes? Let’s take a look.</p>
<h2>Marion the Librarian</h2>
<p>Marion was born November 25, 1929 in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Noted for her left-wing beliefs as a young woman, she became quite politically active, and was even courted by the Communist Party USA to potentially become a leader. Marion was also involved in the civil rights movement.</p>
