@alter_kaker #grapheneos is really good. I tried #LineageOS , #iode and #eOS before, but they all seem less polished an I had to tinker with them. Not so with Graphene - installation is super easy and everything just works for me (including both of my German banking apps). But I already tried to remove #BigTech years before, so the experience can be different if you need apps depending on google. But even that is well covered by using different profiles, where you can isolate your "Junk Apps".

Je vois passer tous les articles sur #GraphenOS et surtout les critiques entre #GraphenOS et #eos ou #iode. J’envisage de changer de téléphone et je me pose la question du model. J'entends les critiques de Graphen sur ces concurrents mais est-ce vraiment si problématique pour mon usage? J’en arrive presque à penser que garder l’os par défaut est mieux

Iodé OS, j'ai testé. Un OnePlus 9 reconditionné, acheté au printemps.
Bilan: effectivement, plus de Google, ni de pisteurs, ni de choses toxiques.
Mais: un telephone reconditionné avec une batterie qui tient moins de 12h en usage normal, des mises à jour frequentes, lourdes, et qui immobilisent le telephone. Plus les applis importantes (banques, docto*, sncf con*, ...) qui fonctionnent mal, refusent de se mettre à jour...Donc très déçu, je vais essayer autre chose.

So, da hab ich wohl gerade 200€ verbrannt...
Im Sinne von #degoogle und #unplugtrump und ermutigt durch die vielen Erfolgsberichte zu #iode hab ich mir ein #Pixel 7 gekauft und brav nach Anleitung mit dem Iode Installer versucht iode zu installieren... Mitten im Prozess hat sich dann irgendwie alles aufgehängt und mein neues Pixel bleibt nun schwarz und ist wohl tot... Auch alle einschlägigen Foren machen da wenig Mut.
Aber was am schlimmsten ist: Ich trau mich nicht, das je wieder zu probieren und werde wohl für immer googleabhängig bleiben. Sad Day!

Just in case anyone out there is still on #CalyxOS and wondering what to do while they're on hiatus, #IodéOS has been treating me pretty good. I'm even paying the ~$3/mo for the enhanced features (basically like a nice firewall plus TrackerControl-type features for your phone, that still lets you use a VPN as well)
