Happy #MothMonday! This moth may not have showy colors, but its name has a nice ring to it: The Clover Looper (Caenurgina crassiuscula).

A light tan moth with brown markings rests on dried grass mulch (also tan and brown). With its wings opened and flat on the ground, the moth has a very triangular shape.

#Ventor on the #IsleOFWight suffered deluge of flying ants 100 years ago

The roads and pavements of the High Street, other thoroughfares, the Esplanade and the beach were said to have become literally smothered with myriads of these #insects.

Holidaymakers were forced to return to their rooms, and those venturing outside were said to have been covered by #ants from head to foot.

She was prompted to act after noticing the flashing cliff warning lights along Military Road have not been operational for years

She was told that the early warning system installed in 1997 became failed sometime before 2013
