yup. pay extra for luggage. by default you have a "handbag" (smaller than easyjet's small cabin bag) and a "cabin luggage" (smaller than easyjet's large cabin bag).

travel planning #gpn23 … fine, you can't just go to the board bistro on #renfe 's ave and get food*, it needs to be pre-ordered soandsomany hours in advance. good to fight food waste and ensures you actually get something (looking at you: easyjet). the vegetarian option … is a croissant.

Didn't check #iryo (it's already 2 layovers with 2 tickets from different vendors. i didn't want to add a third company in the mix and wave all passenger rights)

Det utlovades att man skulle kunna boka platsbiljetter för #interrail för spanska #IRYO den 1 april, men så blev det inte. "Not in pass network" fortfarande. Det går bara att köpa platsbiljett för #Renfe men eftersom de kör flest tåg är det kanske inte så "bara".

👉 #Adif no ha preparat (pel moment) accords macro al Corredor Mediterrani, per que, pel moment, hi han dos amples de via: el iberic (en les vies antigas) i el estándar (en les noves).

👉 Fins a que no s'hi posi tot el Corredor en ample estandar (~2030), ni #ouigo, ni #iryo voldran entrar-hi (tot i que podríen) ja que el canvi de ample requereix una inversion mes elevada

El tema es molt interessant: a Espanya, TOTAS las rutas de tren estan ja liberalitzadas (es a dir, que #ouigo o #iryo podrian posar-hi un tren dema mateix); però hi han dos problemas:

Y’know, I am normally not too fussed about the Spanish obsession with suffixing their station names to make them longer for no reason. But I think that the name “Zaragoza Delicias Madrid Puerta de Atocha María Zambrano Córdoba Central” as just announced by #iryo as we are about to arrive is a little *too* long.

And confusing as hell.

In very Italian #iryo style, the trolley service carries an espresso machine, but I have to go to the on board bar if I want to order tea.

I must admit, whilst I am impressed by the legroom on this seat (marked by my hat) I am very much not liking the table situation. I was told there wasn’t any table that could be fitted for the journey, and that people in the disabled spots were out of luck on the table front.

On the upside, the #iryo train staff did try to reseat me in Singular class, though the train was full, and they did offer a seat with a table in standard class too.

My laptop is warming my legs, and my can of drink (I wouldn’t dare a hot drink) is precariously perched on the bit between the seats.
