Don't let anyone direct you except the director 🎬🎭📽

In drama school we learn: never direct your colleagues. But on set, this rule is sometimes broken. An A-list actor once gave me notes right before the scene to shape his own moment. He knew the rule but ignored it. In another project I got opposite notes from director and producer. I followed the director — it’s their vision we serve. Protect your process and stay loyal to the director.

When You Feel You Weren’t Good Enough 🎭🎬

A student told me he felt he wasn’t good enough in his last project. I reminded him: actors rarely get feedback. Not because they’re bad, but because the industry works that way. Even famous actors feel insecure. What matters is what you do next. Don’t stay in doubt. Reach out professionally, get in touch with the director, keep training, stay curious, grow. And if you need support or guidance, I’m here to help.

✨️Motivation for actors✨️

A callback is a win. In this industry, we rarely get feedback because casting teams receive thousands of submissions. Casting associate Bailey Frances (Shakyra Dowling) confirmed: a callback is your feedback. A self-tape invitation is, too. Be punctual, know your lines, and give your best every time. And if you need fresh input - I coach actors of all levels.

🌞 Happy Sunday 🌞

Take today to reset and do something that genuinely supports you as an artist.

Go outside, meet someone who gives you good energy, or enjoy a quiet moment on your own.
Even small choices help you reconnect with your instincts and stay present.

Use this day to recharge - your work grows from a balanced, centered you.

In Ireland, actors receive €1,500 a month in a pilot programm, because art is essential. 🎭

In Germany people still ask: “Does it pay off?”- a small-minded view that reduces creativity to numbers.

I work hard every day. The life of a freelance artist demands strength and courage. Most don’t see the discipline behind it, yet this work keeps society human.

Art is priceless. Artists are essential. And no one tells me what my work is worth.

Your headshot is your business card - don’t compromise. 📸✨️

If you want to be taken seriously as an actor, a professional headshot is essential. Casting directors see your photo before anything else. It’s not about costumes or characters - it’s your presence and essence. I chose Sylke Gall because her images were truthful and real. Three sessions later, she still captures the honest person behind the roles. Your face is your brand - present it with intention.

Theatre or film? I truly love both. 🎭🎬

Theatre gives me time to explore, rehearse deeply, and live a role from beginning to end. Film fascinates me with its precision and the challenge of shooting out of order - each moment becomes its own universe.
What unites both is collaboration and the search for truth.

If you want to grow your craft in theatre or film, I offer personalised coaching.

Discovering depth across cultures 🎭

I had an inspiring acting session with my new student Arunce Leo from Kerala, India - a deeply intuitive, open-minded actor. Working on The Lady of Larkspur Lotion by Tennessee Williams, he showed remarkable courage performing in English and exploring emotions in a foreign language. Here is an essential acting truth: always discover your character — never decide. The moment you decide, you lose all the other possibilities.

Real training builds actors - it doesn’t break them. 💫

Theatre should be a space for truth and creativity, not manipulation or fear. I’ve experienced auditions and directors designed to break me - abuse of power disguised as 'art.'

We don’t need trauma to act truthfully. True acting comes from freedom, not fear.

đź’« If you want to act with depth, freedom, and confidence, I can guide you.

Keep Your Body & Mind Ready for Acting 🎭✨

As actors, our body is our tool, everything we feel and express lives here. I practice yoga, mostly Ashtanga, sometimes Vinyasa, which keeps me strong, flexible, and present - and even solved my back issues.
I also love cycling for energy and endurance.
Fitness isn’t about looking perfect; it’s about being available physically, emotionally, and creatively.
Move, breathe, stay present — show up fully for your craft.💫

Surrender, risk, and embrace uniqueness - insights from the inspiring meeting with filmmaker Dom Lenoir

Dom reminded us that true acting means surrendering to the moment, you can’t predict scene partners or force a “finished” character. Discovery happens on set. I totally agree.

His love for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and focus on originality shows in his work. And his advice? Keep it simple, stand out, and never follow the crowd, generic is the enemy!

Acting Beyond Borders 🌎

Yesterday I had the privilege of leading an acting video session. We focused on Advanced Method Acting, exploring a sense memory exercise titled "Love". The atmosphere was characterised by remarkable concentration, openness, and commitment, which underscored the depth and dedication of the participating actors. It was inspiring to witness such authentic connection and creative exploration across borders and screens. ✨

Do you support other actors? đź’«

Be there when someone needs help with a self-tape or feedback. As an actor and acting coach, I believe in collaboration over competition — we grow by lifting each other up.

🎬 The actor you help today might recommend you tomorrow.

Be kind, be generous — it makes this journey so much more fun. ❤️

Incredible session with a talented actor.🎭

What I love most is when actors come not just to “get better,” but to grow, take risks, and face where they feel stuck. Naming those blocks is powerful. it’s how we move through them. I still train with my favourite coach, because growth lives in the challenge. As an actor and coach, I meet you where you are: for stage, screen, auditions, or on set. Ready to grow? Let’s go.

🎭 Staying in the Craft, and in Life

Acting demands everything from you—your heart, your instincts, and your passion. Stay in training, stay curious, stay alive to the world. Life beyond acting inspires your craft. Rest, move, connect, support each other. Don't compare yourselves. Don't compete. Celebrate each other. You are already evolving. Stay present, stay human. Keep going—you're doing better than you think.

How to stay motivated as an actor? 🌞

By not forgetting that there is a life beyond acting.

Stay curious, open-minded, and flexible - every culture, person, and experience deepens your craft.
Do what brings you joy, let the world inspire you, and don’t forget: acting is a marathon, not a sprint.

If you need support, I’ll meet you where you are.

🎬 Actors, remember this:
A callback is already a win. Feedback is rare in this industry - not because you’re not good enough, but because casting teams get thousands of submissions.

Even being asked for a self-tape means you stood out. That’s approval.

- Arrive 5 minutes early
- Know your lines
- Do your homework
- Give your best

If you ever need fresh input or guidance, I coach actors at all levels. Keep going.

I am an actor & acting coach with over two decades of international experience across theatre and film in Germany, Spain, the UK, and beyond. My coaching is rooted in advanced method acting.

I help actors find presence, depth, and emotional honesty on stage and on screen. I know the struggles actors face, from breaking into new markets to overcoming blocks of fear and self-doubt, because I have faced and overcome them myself.

🎭 I love theatre 🎭

Theatre taught me that acting is about truth. In rehearsal, we explore, fail, and discover. On stage, we share a living dialogue with the audience — their silence, laughter, and applause. It's a magic no camera can capture.

This foundation shapes everything I do — on stage, on screen, in class.

👉 Actors who want to explore this depth: let’s work together and keep theatre alive.

✨ Choosing the right talent agency isn’t about getting signed — it’s about finding the right partner.

Check:
- Are their clients working?
- Do they already represent your type?
- Big vs. boutique?
- Do they fit your goals?

👉 A good agent believes in you, fights for you, and shares your vision.

🎭 Need guidance? I help actors choose strategically.
