You might not, by I've a soft spot for #AfghanWhigs, esp. back when #GregDulli & co. gave us a bleeding-heart, gossamer #falsetto version of "Lost In The Supermarket" by The Only Band That Matters, #TheClash. I'm sure #JoeStrummer would've approved.

This album arrived yesterday, and I am very, very, very pleased with it.
Issued posthumously, the album had been in preparation at the time of Joe's untimely death, and many tracks contain the only vocal take he made.
It's perfect.

The young man then known as "Woody" is having a good breakfast at the pub just after gravedigging, nothing better than a pint and punk rock after a long night of work.
Pre-punk musician Joe Strummer, then known as Woody, lived in Newport for six months in 1974, working as a gravedigger and frequenting the Murenger Pub.
