Today 19 UTC until tomorrow 19 UTC, it's again the #JS8QSOParty for all who are enthusiastic or plain interested in the #JS8 #hamRadio digital mode. In short, it is just an appointment when particularly many people from the (still small) community try to be on air. See js8call.groups.io/g/main/viewe for details.

It looks like the MUF might climb beyond 28 MHz tomorrow, so maybe there will be some activity in the 10 m band this weekend. pskreporter.info/pskmap.html?p will know.

The fun of the #JS8QsoParty did continue ๐Ÿงต: In particular, I had a nice ragchew with a Gentleman from Portishead, GB.

It became a bit slow on 20 m here in Europe during the noon and afternoon hours, with declining conditions.

So I treated myself with a generous helping of FT-8 for desert. First, on 30 m, phenomenal 14 / hour QSO rate of 23 QSOs (mostly local Europe) in 96 minutes. Later at night, on 20 m, two new ones, Taiwan and Dominican Republic.

For #hamRadio fans of #js8, it is #js8QsoParty time again!

Problem encountered: After finally upgrading from Debian Bullseye to Debian Bookworm, the old #IC705 sound card string I had used became unreliable; I had to switch.

Highlight thus far was reading a message that some nice person in Florida, USA left for me on their system some time last November. This felt a bit like finding a message in a bottle on a beach specifically written for me!

More fun later today! ๐Ÿ˜„
