The best, most fucked up, most interesting art is happening in horror. I finished this book a week ago and can't get the ending (the grief!) out of my head.

An incredible (!) journey to bring back coffee from Yemen. Someone send me Port of Mokha beans immediately. ☕
Thanks, jury duty, for giving me a day of waiting and reading. Should've brought my backup book. 🤪
He said the thing about cats you have to understand
Is they are predator and prey
They can hunt and pounce and kill
But they're small and light and probably
Delicious
So they take some things very very seriously
I was a little girl when he said this
But when I became a woman in this world
I understood what he meant.
Finished #TheReturn on the plane back from my own girls trip where we were also missing our fourth, and now I'm feeling very compelled to check in on her. 😶

#WhatchaReading ? I #JustFinishedReading Strange Love by Ann Aguirre and it was the cutest "alien abduction meets The Hunger Games" story ever. 😂 The alien MMC is an adorable cinnamon-roll-in-an-exoskeleton and the sex scenes are so genuinely weird yet somehow also sexy!
#JustFinishedReading "Heartsong" by A E Wasp, one of the books in the #VinoAndVeritas series. The MMCs have some tough issues to go through, but they are so sweet to each other! Shipley's Cider is referenced (IYKYK) and Vermont weather plays a key part in the plot... ⚠️TW for homophobic family members, kidnapping and PTSD because of off the page conversion therapy. I really liked this book!

I #JustFinishedReading The Only Purple House In Town by Ann Aguirre. What an adorable book! Warm, sweet and funny romance featuring found family. Adjacent to her Fix-It Witches books, but stands alone just fine. #Books
Just finished reading: I am Homeless if This is Not My Home, by Lorrie Moore.
A conversation between dying and not-yet-dying, I was moved by the dialogue and the emotions.
Just finished reading: The Midnight News, by Jo Baker.
The ambiguity of the protagonist's mind adds a very interesting layer to the WWII story. The story keeps getting more interesting and satisfying even as, or especially when, the plot veers away from what I imagine. So great.
Y'all, #BathHaus. Y'all! First, ill shower. Then I'll start writing my #BookReview! #JustFinishedReading #Bookstodon
Just finished reading: "The God of Endings", by Jacqueline Holland.
A story about immortal lives and their endings, this is beautifully written, and the world beautifully realized.
Just finished reading "A Witch in Time", by Constance Sayers.
A curse, and romances through multiple reincarnations. I do wish the story elaborate a bit more on destiny and fate from the curse, but I appreciate this story as told, and that's enough.
