Is there a way to create a new instance of whatever window is active through a shortcut?

I.e. launch a new terminal, open a new firefox window etc

@kde I was running on my T480's battery the other day, and I stumbled upon Plasma's "Power Profile" slider in the "Power and Battery" panel.

I just want to give this a shout out, because it is so handy to speed it up for an intensive task, and then go back to battery saving! And without having to reboot to change the setting in BIOS!

I don't know if it because of Wayland or not. but the problem mostly on Chromium app, and doesn't even work on Android Studio.

Vuelvo a este Manjaro por sentirme más seguro en ella.

@schuemaa maybe just trying different DE could be a way to go. So maybe #fedora with #kde_plasma might tickle your fancy. Unless you want to stay with ubuntu base. In that case Kubuntu. But I'd want to stay away from snaps,so definitely fedora. With any DE

I think the current AMD video driver might be haunted; switching scaling in Cinnamon made things go crazy (random rectangles drawing as I moved the mouse). I logged out to start a Plasma X11 session, and the machine rebooted as I logged in!

Guess I'm stuck in X11 land for now, hopefully the next set of Wayland updates will make things happy again.

Still, somehow, less annoying that using Windows. YMMV of course.

Big Tumbleweed update installed this morning, doesn't seem to have fixed my Plasma (Wayland) hang at the OpenSUSE lizard lightbulb/spinny gear.

Cinnamon's experimental Wayland version loads just fine, so it's something with KDE. 🥳
