The world's largest bicycle manufacturer, Dutch-based Pon.Bike, has opened a new production facility in #Kedainiai in central #Lithuania. The factory will produce up to 450,000 #bicycles per year, employing around 600 people.

Protesters in #Lithuania's capital, #Vilnius, asked the government to protect the #Kedainiai-based fertiliser plant, #Lifosa, from closure. The company's indirect owner, Russian businessman Andrey Melnichenko, is under EU #sanctions.
