(When the light leak is this ferocious, you kind of have to lean into it and invent a narrative that this beam destroyed the farm house and now is sweeping across the landscape. The other narrative is this is a learning experience of not to replace the dark slide in bright direct sunlight.)

Black and white photo of a classic silverr Airstream camper is show from the back right and only about 70% of the length of the campter is in frame. The camper is in a parking lot under a bright sun and the sunlight is gleaming off the smooth curves of the sides and top. The back of the camper hsa two step-through electric bicycles. The whole vibe is ready for summer adventures. There's a light leak in the photo that looks like a stylistic flare across the right side of the camper.

I tried very hard to obscure the fact that he was looking down at a cell phone to make the photo more old-timey. But I would have been better served in trying to frame something more interesting in the rear view mirror. Also first experience with FX-39 II developer and super impressed with the grain control, almost too clean for my taste (probably doesn't come through after the jpeg export and upload shenanigans).

Black and white photo of an old white man wearing a short sleeve button shirt and suspenders with a straw hat is sitting sideways on a big tractor looking rather old-timey. His face is in the shade while everything is baking in the sun, he's looking down at his hands (he's holding a phone that I worked hard to obscure from angling) the rear view mirror shows another angle of his jaw and torso. Only the back half of the tractor is visible with its oversized tires and bit of the engine compartment with a lot of trees in the background.

The colors are very rich and bit wild with the Harman Phoenix color film reversal. Getting a hang of how I'd like to do the edit so the character still shows while controlling for the light source and scanning. I think that the "White B&W" light setting (5000K) with the same color balance on the camera might be the ticket for the most part. I'll be more meticulous with the next roll I shoot with the intent of color reversal, possibly this weekend.

A bunch of sunflowers are in green plastic buckets with some other colorful flowers in the blurry background. The focus isn't on a particular flower but the image is very vibrant and soft in the front, sharp in the middle, and falls off to softness in the background. It evokes more of a sense of a place and time than the actual flowers in the scene, a warm summer farmer's market scene.

Had a good chat with the balloon artist while finding a good moment. I'll need to go back and take some proper portraits since he was keen as I was leaving and passed along his card.

A balloon artist is crafting a balloon creation with multi color long noodle-like balloons while wearing a tall and bright balloon crown on their head. A blue sky and is poking through around a lot of trees in the out of focus background.

Test roll during sunset that got unexpectedly cloudy so I had to go with a slower shutter than what I could steadily handhold; combine that with quite stale chemistry and I did not think anything would turn out, glad something did.

Photo of a sculpture extending from the right side of the frame towards the middle. The sculpture is made of polished steel pipes for it's framework and flat bands of bronzed metal for it's core that looks like a ball of yarn, the pipes are arching away and supported by other pipes connecting back to the core. Decorative light bulbs are strung overhead under a blue sky with stripes of clouds and very out of focus trees in the distance in the bottom left.

After finding a filmscanner I started to digitize all of my medium format films. I found this on the firsrt roll of film I shot in summer 2024 with my first Medium Format SLR. The last photo of the roll shows how my brasscurtains got stuck. I had to dissassable the whole camera to fix it. To me it was an expenive camera and my first camera repair. My tip for you: Don't get a kiev medium format. And if you realy want one get a serviced and lubricated on :D

I send my first roll of phoenix 200 to the lab. It was totaly underexposed. Maybe my external meter is of or the big lab failed. It is one of my first tryes scanning.

The sky itself is rippled and graduates to a darker grey towards the top as the picture is upside down and that's actually the water.

Black and white photo, overall muted and sullen without too much contrast. In the left third can be seen a pebbledash wall of an abandoned building, a back-porch with a boarded up window makes up most of what is visible. Where the porch meets the main wall there is a prominent white painted drainpipe. In the bottom right there is some old abandoned and rusting farm machinery (think it's a scarifier plough). Above that a sliver of lighter field, then a darker sliver of hills in the distance. The sky above has dark clouds with bright edges and looks stormy.

Two frames of black and white (square format film) one above the other. Both are very high contrast to the point of looking like cartoons. The top one shows a person wearing sunglasses and hat. the left side of their face completely in shadow. To the left they are holding up a sword with an ornate hilt, the blade is horizontal and completely dark, hiding their mouth.

The lower picture is a person from behind, waist height, and in silhouette. The hat shape is more visible and is an old 20's style fedora. At the bottom of the pics the knuckles of a hand are bright and holding the same sword. The back edge of which is slightly brighter so you can see that it is held upside down, behind the back.

Square black and white photo. In the background is the left-hand side of an old Scottish house. There are two dark windows above each other. To the right of the lower is some plastic trellising for roses to grow up. In the bottom left are daffodils. In the right half is a plastic flamingo, white against a background that is almost completely black but for some texture.

The entire photo has an ethereal blur, the lighter parts glowing.

Had to do some color correction on this one due to a horrible red cast for some reason.
