𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 - 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗱
🐰 Samantha Heather Mackey is an outsider in her small, highly selective MFA program at Warren University. In fact, she is utterly repelled by the rest of her fiction writing cohort – a clique of unbearably twee rich girls who call each other 'Bunny'. But then the Bunnies issue her with an invitation and Samantha finds herself inexplicably drawn to their front door, across the threshold, and down their rabbit hole. 🐰
What an odd book! Less about the Bunnies than I thought.
The story is definitely interesting, but yet somehow pointless. Or the point is too fancy for me to grasp on. Everything happens, but nothing changes in the end.
There are things this book shines in ✨️ Like, this is how you use nicknames properly. With purpose. And the writing style is eerie in the most enjoyable way.
So, had a good time reading this, but I did not get it. What is the message? Plot is punishing the mc for being a punching bag? Loneliness makes one a mess? The artistic pursuit of being a unique snowflake is pointless? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘉𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺?
