HB-JIB, McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30, British Jet, taxiing the last few metres to Gate 202 on Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, 22nd January 2006, as seen from the top of the T1 car park.
The airlines name is ironic, given that the jet aircraft in question was neither built in Britain, nor registered there.
It was also built by McDonnell Douglas, but the text on the engines suggests it was built by Boeing.
This was built shortly before Boeing bought McDonnell Douglas in August 1997, hence the apparent discrepancy.
A shorter version of the MD90, the MD-95, was re-named "Boeing 717".
