I posted this because the rains are here, and the landscape is quickly greening. I can't wait to see the fields come alive and the prairies bursting with wild flowers, and the hope and anticipation that accompanies it all.

Lots of people think the best views from this part of the island in which you can check out Roque Nublo are right at the base of the monolithic structure. And they are not wrong, they are both equally majestic and sublime. However, my favourite spot to watch over Roque Nublo and the stunning landscape is from the nearby Presa de los Hornos that allows you to capture, in a much quieter and tranquil space, this kind of mind-blowing snap shot: Roque Nublo surrounded by forests of pine trees, high up in the mountains, and you can also see the accompanying "The Frog" (La Rana) and "The Monk" (El Monje) nearby. This photo was taken on a winter day with some thin clouds scattered around the sky and with a balmy 20C. Just plain gorgeous! 😍👍🏻
