I naturally move my flight out and grab a ticket on StubHub.

One of my favorite parts of watching my first #Laracon the last two days is just how infectious the “just build things” mantra is! Definitely came away more inspired to learn and build cool things, whether or not they see the light of day outside of my local dev environment.

If I had more energy I would have live tweeted the #Laracon talks. I am so wiped this week. I hope some Ruby devs go watch the talks once they're online and borrow some ideas for Rails and Hanami though. :)

Well I'm definitely sold on Livewire 4 after that talk at #Laracon! Can't wait for its release (I do wish Caleb gave a loose outline for a timeline for release, but everything else in that talk was great).

I’ve been to many conferences before as a speaker, but this is my first go-round as a vendor. It's funny, I didn't realize the hardest part would be trying to convince people we're not selling anything!

I don't know if it's the attention economy or what, but we've gotten so used to being the thing consumed that people seem genuinely surprised when we say, “No, no, we're just here to find people to hire!”

I love that so many vendors at #PHP conferences (among them the fantastic PHP consultancies Tighten and Vehikl) show up to celebrate the community and give something to those in attendance - good vibes and swag - without the heavy sales pitch. They just let their cool products and amazing services do the talking for them.
