#lazyweb I'm sorry if this is a stupid q, but... if you do a _single_ sendto call, you can send a single UDP packet of up to 65535-minus-some-change, and IP frag/reassembly will ensure you either receive it in order, or not at all?

I.e. it's only with multiple sendto calls that you start having problems with UDP packets being received out of order?

(And if you do a single sendto call, the larger the packet, the more likely it'll be dropped due to reassembly timeout?)

It's new #laptop time and my natural inclination is to order from @tuxedocomputers but I haven't bought from them since the full shitshow of #Brexit kicked in so I'm wondering if the #LazyWeb / #LazyFedi know if/how I might get stung by having a laptop imported to the UK from Germany?

What other options currently exist to turn git repos into HTML pages? I already know about stagit, pgit, GitGen, gitmal, itsy-gitsy, git-arr, git2html, and stagen.

All I really need is to checkout HEAD and convert the .md files to HTML. Some of these get close, but I don't want to build another bespoke software package.

Is there a good online tool where you can bulk-drop a set of font files to get the #CSS font-face declarations, taking into account things like `usWidthClass`, ranges of variation axes, etc? Lots and lots of dubious web pages out there. (Asking for a very #lazyweb developer.)

Eleventy people, do you display your mastodon or other fediverse things on your site? Do you use a compile-time plugin to do it, or something else? Got some examples? I need inspiration for this weekend, pretty please! #11ty #lazyweb

A JavaScript library, written in TypeScript. Dependencies managed by npm. Compilation works. Assume the result is in ./dist.

Want to install the library (not necessarily the source) from git, like

npm i --save git+https://.../dodo.git

When I do this now, I have the source code in ./node_modules/dodo.

How can I tell npm what the actual library is:

- tell it to run the build and where it ends up
- or have ./dist committed and tell it to look there

Et pourquoi pas faire de même avec mes vidéos hébergées chez YouTube.

* Est-il raisonnable de les stocker telles quelles (le fichier original) sur mon hébergement web (plan Plus chez @alwaysdata) ?
* Serait-il exagéré de monter une instance @peertube perso à mon seul usage ? (note : je ne sais pas si je peux le faire avec mon compte Alwaysdata... il ne me permet pas d'utiliser Docker par exemple, et je n'ai pas fouillé les dépendances de PeerTube mais j'ai l'impression que ce serait compliqué)
* Y a-t-il d'autres outils que je ne connais pas pour l'auto-hébergement de vidéos ?

Je pourrais sans doute simplement rejoindre une instance PeerTube, mais je ressens le besoin d'avoir les fichiers au plus proche de moi.
