My weed isn't for everyone.

As a small-batch producer, I hunt for and grow unique strains—strains that are powerful, full of flavor, and have strong noses. This round has been an exciting hunt for new profiles, and I can't wait to share the effects.

I'm really happy with the progress in the grow tents, but there are some strange responses from the flowers here and there. Despite housing the same strains, the two tents are displaying very different physical traits. Whether that's because of different lighting, CO2, or irrigation cues is something I'm still figuring out. For now, I'll just keep learning and making adjustments to improve the flower quality. #growyourown #indoorgrow #cannabiscultivation #cropsteering #organicgardening #livingsoil #growtent #ledgrowlights #homegrown #organiccannabis #vpd #dryback #notillgardening #craftcannabis #soilfoodweb #growroom #cannabiscommunity #precisionirrigation #controlledenvironmentagriculture

The geraniums are greening up slowly after being under the lights for a week. I've turned the lights down some since the lettuce seemed to be suffering as it got taller. The grape cutting from last year that had a verbena I saved in it is growing fast! The saved Red Marconi isn't doing much but I haven't fertilized or pruned it either. Extra details in ALT about tent and LED lights.

A photo showing 4 plant trays with various plants. There is lettuce in the lower left, geraniums in the upper left, and verbena, sweet pepper, grape, and Lychnis in the lower right. They are all raised up on a cage frame of cube storage things. This is inside a 4 foot square grow tent that is about 78 inches tall, That's 1200 mm square by 2000 mm tall. It has a full zippered front and two zippered half doors on each side along with vents on each side and one or two in the top. It has a covered see through window in the front too for peaking without opening up. It currently costs $80.99 USD for this exact tent right now. I've used it for two plant starting seasons now along with Spider Farmer SF1000 LED Grow Light panels with Samsung LM301H LEDs which are adjustable and rated at 100 watts each and currently priced at $89.99 USD. One panel covers a 3x3 foot area, 90x90mm, for the growth stage of plants. The 'blooming' stage is rated as a smaller area but this is for 'crop' blooming. 🪴 I currently have 4 of these panels in the tent that gives full coverage and will let the lights be raised up higher if needed. I use two others in place of 6 fluorescent tube lights for seed starting in a warmer area. I can go directly from indoors to full sun without plant damage with these lights.

Some of the replanted California Wonder 300 peppers have sprouted. It looks like it's last years seeds so what I saved must be duds. Probably should have did a germination test on everything. Everything else is doing good.

A photo showing 5 small square pots that are about 50x50mm. They have plant tags that say "California Wonder 300". The back left pot has a pepper sprout with leaves out. The back right pot has an annotation arrow pointing at a partially obscured pepper sprout. The middle left pot has two arrows pointing at two sprouts. They are sitting in the middle of a 1020 plant tray. They are on a heat mat that keeps the temperature warm so they will sprout and under a cover so they don't dry out so fast.A photo showing 13 tall square pots in a 1020 plant tray. The pots are about 90mm across. They have plant tags but are turned sideways to the camera so can't be read. There are 5 pots with Jalapeno peppers and 8 with Red Marconi peppers. Two Marconi pots have doubles. After the photo was taken one of the doubles was transplanted to a pot that had a sickly transplant from earlier in the week. Beyond the square pots is a rectangle blue tub sitting diagonally on the edge of the tray and has a clear cover over it. Inside are small pots with shrub seedlings. Some basil in pots is visible to the left and the covered heated peppers tray to the right.A photo showing a tray of 18 standard height square pots with basil seedlings. All the pots are labeled and all pots have 1 or more plants growing. There are 3 Italian Long Leaf, 3 Genovese, 2 Holy Green, 2 Thai, 2 Lemon, 2 Lime, 2 Dark Opal, and 2 Spicy Globe. There is a NSF probe thermometer in a middle pot that reads about 70F or 21C degrees in the surface of the soil. The tray of sweet peppers is visible on the right.A photo showing a gallon size square bag pot with lettuce regrowth from a harvested bunch of lettuce. There is also a small 2 inch pot with 2 Jalapeno seedlings that are a little sickly sitting within the bigger pot.

Cleaned up the geraniums and pruned them a tiny bit and put them in the grow tent. These were reduced to gallon pots for the winter this year. Last year I lost some leaving them bare root. It's just too dry for that and I don't have damp cellar.

Lettuce is doing ok, maybe too much light seems a bit burned on some parts of the leaves. Verbena still blooming, saved Red Marconi still too cool to do much or it needs fertilized.

A square cropped photo of the inside of the 4x4 foot grow tent with LED lights. Near and on the left are two trays of lettuce in gallon pots. Beyond the lettuce is a tray with 6 gallon pots that have geraniums that have been in the dark. To the right of the lettuce is a tray with verbena flowers, a pepper plant, and a grape vine with one of the verbena flowers. The walls of the inside of the tent are reflective metal foil looking. The plant trays all sit a foot or so off the floor on a wire rack looking thing made from cube shelves. The LED lights are just on the upper edge of the photo barely.

Planted Shrubby St. John's Wort and 8 types of basil.

A square cropped photo showing 8 different types of basil seeds in paper packets. Top row left to right Dark Opal, Lemon, Thai, Sweet Genovese. Bottom row left to right Holy Green, Spicy Globe, Italian Large Leaf, Lime. Each packet has artistic representations of the plants and some blossoms. The dark opal basil is purple colored, the Thai is light green with purple flowers, the Holy Green has lavender colored flowers. Some show insects that cold be ladybugs/birds, yellow and black striped beetle, flying pollinators. They are labeled Ocimum basilicum.A square cropped photo of the basil seed packets laid out on the pots where they will be planted. There are 18 pots in a 1020 seed tray. There will be 2 pots per seed type except the Genovese and Italian large leaf will have 3 pots.A square cropped photo showing the tray after it has been planted. Lettuce getting bigger. Soil temp up to 60F / 16C. The romaine has roots coming out the bottom of the pots, didn't look at the others.

A square cropped photo showing 8 soft plastic square bag pots in a 1020 plant tray. The pots have lettuce plants in them, some pots have multiple plants. The farthest two pots have Crisphead Iceberg. The next closest two have Lolla Rosso. The nearest 4 pots have Parris Island Romaine. There is a small dial probe thermometer in one of the pots and it reads about 60F. There are some pinkish verbena flowers on the right of the photo that are below the lettuce.

There's a pepper on the 1 year old Red Marconi plant I potted up and have indoors for the winter. Some closeup photos of the lettuce too. February 20, 2025 photos.

A square cropped closeup photo of a small pepper growing in too cool conditions indoors. The plant has few leaves, some other blossoms are visible too, and there are some verbena leaves too.A square cropped closeup photo of a lettuce plant. It is bright green with some red tinge. It might be a crisphead iceberg since the supposed lolla rosso doesn't have any red. It doesn't really matter, it's lettuce.A square cropped closeup photo of lettuce in a square black container indoors. It has a plant stake labeled with an L because it's suppose to be Lolla Rosso lettuce but I think it's crisphead iceberg. It is a bright green color.A square cropped closeup photo of Parris Island Romaine lettuce. There are multiple plants in a square black plastic pot. The white plant stake has a P on it. February 17 lettuce update. It warmed up a little downstairs and the soil temp is over 55F/13C.

A square cropped photo showing 8 soft plastic square bag pots in a 1020 plant tray. The pots have small lettuce plants in them, some pots have multiple plants. Each pot has a tall skinny plant stake with a letter marked on it to identitfy it. The farthest two pots have a C on the tag which is for Crisphead Iceberg. The next closest two have an L on the tag for Lolla Rosso. The nearest 4 pots have a P on the tag for Parris Island Romaine. It's possible the Crisphead and Lolla Rosso are mixed up since C marked pots have red showing on the leaves. There are some empty blue trays/tubs and some yellow and black panels with holes to the right. Also on the right is one partial bright pink flower cluster from a verbena plant. Everything is inside a 4x4 foot grow tent that is about 7 foot tall. It has a reflective coating inside. The lettuce is raised up to a height of about 3 feet. The flowers are about 1.5 foot up. This makes it easier to attend to and it's warmer higher up in the tent since there is no air circulating.

I put the lettuce starts in larger pots. Divided the romaine since I had a couple of pots that didn't sprout. The seeds were planted about 3 weeks ago but it's cold in the basement so growing is slow.

A square cropped photo showing 8 soft plastic square bag pots in a 1020 plant tray. The pots are partially filled with potting mix and have small lettuce plants in each pot. They are inside a grow tent that zips closed, there various other plant trays and things visible and some violet or pink looking flowers on the left from other overwintering plants. I got around to watering the tray of plants in the basement and saw some flowers. It was mid-October when I potted up all the volunteer verbena and one Marconi pepper plant. The verbena doesn't mind the cold, the pepper plant is just maintaining life.

It says "THERMO SENSOR" above the display.A square cropped shot of the overwintering plants in the grow tent. They are raised up above the floor about a foot on top of a grid of wire frame cubes. The tray the sit in has 2 square gallon pots with verbena and maybe 1 mystery plant near the back, a larger round pot with a pepper plant in the middle, and another square pot with another verbena in the front. The pepper plant has a few old leaves that are yellowing and some new green leaves that are very small, and at least one blossom.
