Das Bild zeigt einen Ausschnitt einer rustikalen Fassade. Der untere Teil besteht aus einer Ziegelmauer mit unregelmäßig geformten, rötlich-braunen Ziegeln. In der rechten Bildhälfte befindet sich ein kleines quadratisches Fenster mit vier Scheiben, das von einem weißen Rahmen umgeben ist. Direkt darüber liegt ein Bereich aus grobem Strohdach, das von einem kräftigen, roten Holzbalken gehalten wird. Der Holzrahmen, der das Dach und die Fassade verbindet, ist ebenfalls in einem kräftigen Rotton gestrichen. Die kontrastreichen Texturen von Ziegel, Stroh und Holz verleihen dem Bild eine interessante visuelle Vielfalt.
