Bourbon opener, red wine overtones with chocolate and raisin on the curiously flat body. There’s a lot going on in this six brew mix. A lot to like!

The Blend
This year's Anniversary beer was blended by the creators of Desparada Wines and Herman Story Wines, along with help from the Editor-in-Chief of The Fullpint. The blend is 64% stout, comprising of equal parts Parabola and Velvet Merkin, both aged in Bourbon barrels. These beers meld deep chocolate flavors, coffee house aromas and rich barrel essence to create a decadent bourbon ganache center with the Merkin mellowing the darker and more intense tones of the Parabola. A guest appearance of our one-off Heavy Things, along with our old friend Bravo brings a maple sap element and pulls the blend back toward the Barley Wine side. A small addition of Wheat Wine, with its grape inclusion, brings some fresh fruitiness to the blend, while Helldorado adds an extra touch of oaky vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The blend works together to create a rich, smooth texture with beautiful malt and elegant barrel character.
