Yeah, this is why #libertarians are wrong: everyone acting in their own self interest does not mean the best outcomes for everybody.

Often it means somebody with the power to do so, preventing a good outcome for everybody else because the worse outcome is more beneficial to themselves.

This is straight out of a conspiracy theory, only it's actually happening.

Scientists developed better cancer treatments which pharma companies refuse to bring to market, because shorter, better treatments make less money.
