So, #LibreTranslate wieder installiert, da es nach dem Upgrade auf #Kubuntu 25.04 nicht mehr wollte.

Musste aber erst einmal #Python 3.12 aus den Quellen backen, weil LT mit dem bei *buntu 25.04 mitgelieferten Python 3.13 nicht mag.

@Tutanota I have high hopes for #LibreTranslate and have played around with it a bit. Sadly, at least for Japanese to English, the results are not quite at a quality level where I would use it as my main translation engine.

Really looking forward to what that project might become a few years from now.

I finally messed a bit with LibreTranslate, and now it uses a single DB regardless of my SO through a symbolic link. Now, all LT languages will always be available. And I can start adding more words to their dictionary. #libretranslate #windows #linux #nomxd #Tech-talk🐾

True @jesuisatire, and the translation feature and the language setting feature. Two really neat things. Even tho #libretranslate still is far behind deepl and from your kind of spanisch into english we might get another clash of civilizations like pointed out by the @utopiarte profile.
I wonder if or how we could help #libretranslate to improve itself, like:
