I picked up a pad of 25% cotton paper to practice a loose floral bouquet with lilacs. I didn't expect to like it but it turned out better than I thought it would!

This is a watercolor floral painting of three large flowers surrounded by greenery and lilacs. These flowers and greenery are pulled into a tight bouquet and there's plenty of untouched watercolor paper in this 8x10 landscape oriented painting. Top left is a side view peony, top right is an open peony tilted up to the right. The third flowers is at the bottom middle and is an open peony tilted down. There are lighter and larger yellow leaving green leaves layered with smaller darker green leaves tucked inbetween two flowers that kind of curve around the flowers. Purple lilacs are peeking out from the leaves. This is painted in a loose style.
