Hotel Sakartvelo. One of many abandoned resort buildings scattered across the spa town of Tskaltubo in western Georgia. Once part of a busy Soviet-era holiday industry, the hotel is now an empty shell of concrete and broken stairwells.

To capture this shot, I was perched (uneasily) on a matching staircase on the other side of this lobby. Needless to say, I was relieved to step back onto solid ground again!

Das Motiv hatte ich schnell vor meinem inneren Auge, allerdings hatte ich auf Schnee gehofft. Die Wassertropfen gefallen mir allerdings auch ganz gut.

Fotografie eines nassen Schaukelsitzes bei Nacht. Der Sitz besteht aus schwarzem Kunststoff und ist an Metallketten aufgehangen, die im gold-gelben Straßenlaternenlicht von Wasser überzogen glitzern. Ein Metallbügel bildet das Rückenteil. Am Sitz und am Bügel hängen viele Wassertropfen, die ebenfalls das gelbe Licht fangen. Im Hintergrund ist unscharf eine weiteer Schaukel, dann Gebüsch und eine Häuserwand zu sehen.

Abandonded gas station in #Kenya. In 80's we stopped here, it was an unbeliavable sight. A Futuristic building without any other signs of civilization anywhere. Kids these days would say it looks like a scene in Fallout. But for us, the stop became unforgettable, as a baboon from the nature park ran through and stole a donut from my cousins hand...
