I hadn't logged into Pocket in a while, but discovered yesterday that they are shutting down. :( So today I set up a self-hosted instance of @linkwarden and migrated all of my links from Pocket. It all took less than an hour.

Total, que ahora he descubierto #Linkwarden y me lo acabo de montar en el server y veo que tiene mucho potencial (!). Me gusta mucho que guarde "capturas" de las cosas que se guarda por si la fuente original desaparece o cambia, se pueden agrupar los elementos por colecciones (carpetas) y organizar mediante etiquetas, y también se pueden anclar "elementos favoritos" para tenerlos a mano en la página principal.

He descubierto #Linkwarden y estoy flipando en colorinchis.

Funny that on fedi the Pocket alternatives mentioned and discussed are mostly (all?) open source and self-hostable, e.g. #Karakeep, #Linkding, #LinkWarden (and of course #Wallabag and #Readeck). #karakeep klingt ganz interessant, aber wenn da schon #ki angepriesen wird, habe ich Zweifel und will das eigentlich gar nicht erst ausprobieren.

I've been using #Pocket since the time it was Read It Later. As Mozilla is shutting it down, I've been looking for an alternative.

I've settled for #linkwarden https://github.com/linkwarden/linkwarden for now. Was easy enough to install with Docker, creating a user and then disabling registration.

To migrate the data I requested a CSV export from Pocket and transformed it into a Bookmarks HTML file using https://csv-to-bookmarks.glitch.me/

Last week, Mozilla announced their plans to shut down Pocket.

I spent the weekend exploring alternatives to see which ones match my needs and wrote about what I found in my blog.

A lot of options! And while not all met my needs, they may be good options for you.

@Gina I haven't seen anyone mention Linkwarden yet. It's the right balance of features and convenience for me. There's also an iOS app called "My Links" that works with it.

I was kind of eventually expecting this, but #Pocket is closing. Just this year I made a self challenge to read 10 articles out of my saves a day to reduce it. I'm generally up to date on that, but...

I've been using Pocket since before Mozilla picked it up. Now a fire is on to reduce my saves, so exporting to wherever I go (#linkwarden ? #readeck ? #inoreader ? or other) will be easier.

I didn't need the extra work though.

I'm putting the funnel issue on hold for the time being. #LinkWarden installed and works as expected. #ForgeJo installed and working as expected.

I may move all inactive projects to local host and only a few active projects on BitBucket until I can troubleshoot #TailScale Funnel.

Pivoted instead to installing another compose with #pihole for LAN-wide ad blocking. Unbound in same container querying root DNS servers over encryption. This also seems to be working well.

Updated my #freshrss and #linkwarden #docker­s to the most recent version. I took the slow route and incrementally updated each release, because you know that this is the right way to do it.
And right now, I have 23 applets running on my #IFTTT, which I have learnt was called duct tape by someone. I think it fits quite well.
Looking forward to more tinkering in the future. Sending this over to my Social archive. Maybe a proper blog post is in order on my actual www site, yeah? #asca

Básicamente ahora se pueden resaltar textos de los artículos guardados, búsquedas mejoradas, preservación de los enlaces según la etiqueta asignada, autocategorización de etiquetas mediante IA externa (IA everywhere) y facilidades en el proceso de archivado.
