Hey #LinuxMusic people, what distros do you find good for music software? Is there anything that just works?
Particularly interested if you're successfully running Ableton Live and Windows VSTs (via WINE or similar). Would love to switch without having to say goodbye to all the expensive software I've bought over the years... (apart from Bitwig, I know they have a Linux version)

@codemonkeymike I mean, I’ve been using Macs since 1987 and they’ve been my main thing and overall I’ve _generally_ trusted Apple about things I would *never* trust MS or Google; are they perfect? fuck no. While my next computer will most likely be a Mac (not ready to make the leap to #LinuxAudio Production, too many of my favorite plugins aren't there yet), it’ll likely be either used or prev-gen; same with my phone (because my life unfortunately requires a phone with apps and my entire extended family is also in the Apple ecosystem). In the 38 years I've been using Apple products I've been through some real ups and downs with the company and this is definitely one of the bigger downs right now, but it's all about tradeoffs.

kazrog plugins now support linux
Recorded vocals today for Brighter Day and did some mixing. We recorded this track back in February in our rehearsal space but I just couldn't get around doing the vocals earlier.
It's a song about struggling with the consequences of living in a liberal society with its individualism, disinformation and convenience products and services gone too far.
