I made the mistake of telling my M4 #MacBook Pro to upgrade to the next #Sequoia and the little bitch decided to go to #Tahoe WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and now I have software that doesn't work (and I can't upgrade it bc it would be changing to a goddam subscription) and this stupid #LiquidGlass bullshit. Can anyone help me find the easiest way to #revert to Sequoia? I have a recent backup, and I'm not the techiest person. #rollback #apple

#LiquidGlass is *nothing*. It's not even terrible enough to be remarkable. It is, however, confirmation that #Apple has no ideas for improving #UI / #UX and isn't truly interested in it. They've got nothing because that's not the business they're in any more.

@marioguzman I'm convinced that the longer someone has been using Macs, the more painful it is to experience #LiquidGlass.

Anyone who's ever experienced the sheer design craft that went into classic Mac OS and [Mac] OS X must have noticed how the overall desktop #UX got worse over time, and more and more new features turned out to be pure consumer-oriented gimmicks.

For anyone who wants to downgrade from Tahoe to Sequoia - you may find the installer not on the App Store.

You can get the installers via command line and make a bootable USB.

The Liquid Glass playfulness (ugh) of the UI reacting to touches *even for touches that end up cancelled* is infuriating!
I’m constantly going “Did the app detect that toolbar button touch and just taking its time or should I try again?”
I was shocked when Siracusa said he liked it on ATP. 😂

Apparently you can drag and adjust the divider to shrink the messages list width and then get your buttons back.

But also you can create a single-item overflow menu?

Still, there’s room to show all the buttons at every width here…
