Dieser Flussregenpfeifer hat mit seinem Partnervogel weit weg von einem Fluss und trotz Fuchs, Waschbär und Krähen auf einer Baustelle drei Küken großgezogen. Die Kleinen sind jetzt flügge. Schade, dass die Baustelle irgendwann keine mehr ist und dass dann kein Lebensraum mehr für den Vogel besteht.

Ein kleiner Vogel mit kräftigen Beinen kommt auf den Betrachter zu; das Gefieder von Stirn, Gesicht, Hals, Brust und Bauch ist weiß mit einem breiten schwarzen Halsring und schwarzen Partien um die Augen, zwischen Auge und Schnabel sowie oberhalb der Stirn; Rücken und Flügel sind braun; das Auge hat einen leuchtend gelben Rand. Der Vogel läuft auf grauem Schotter, im Hintergrund sind unscharf kahle, braune Erde und rechts in Bild eine Nachtkerze (Oenothera sp.) zu erkennen

There was a vintage camera sale at a local camera store today, and I decided go there and have a look. Of course I took a few photos along the way while the spring weather put on a show: sunshine, chilly wind from the north, clouds, some snow, and then more sunshine.

Anyway, our lawns are finally green again, and there are more and more flowers each day. My favorite time of the year is about to start. As for birds, I spotted two little ringed plovers and managed to photograph one of them and a common moorhen a while later.

I didn't buy anything at the camera sale, but I have been thinking about getting an old lens such as a Canon FD 50mm lens just to see how it works with a modern camera sensor. However, the lens will probably become a paper weight once the novelty wears off, so...

Photo d'un petit gravelot (Charadrius dubius) se tient debout sur une plage de sable humide, près d'une étendue d'eau calme. Cet oiseau, de petite taille, est reconnaissable à son plumage brun sur le dos, blanc sur le ventre, et à son collier noir distinctif autour du cou. Sa tête est ornée d'un cercle oculaire jaune vif contrastant avec son masque noir. Ses pattes sont fines et de couleur rosée. On distingue quelques débris naturels éparpillés sur le sable, tandis que l'eau scintille doucement à l'arrière-plan.

Ahir vaig vore molts corriols menuts pels camps d'arròs que encara tenien un poc d'aigua recercant en ells xicotets insectes i invertebrats per menjar.
