Hey. The Open Slopware living document got taken down. I wanna try to bring it back and make it better.
Send me suggestions & PR's on my version of the repo and hopefully we can get something started. https://codeberg.org/kebokyo/open-slopware

ACRL Releases AI Competencies for Academic Library Workers
ACRL (Association of College & Research Libraries) recently published AI Competencies for Academic Library Workers.
Leo Lo, former ACRL President and Dean of Libraries at the University of Virginia, posted on LinkedIn about the publication and with his permission we are sharing it below. Thanks Leo!
From Leo Lo (via LinkedIn):
I’m especially proud to share this milestone – what began as my Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) presidential goal has now come to fruition.
The ACRL AI Competencies for Academic Library Workers have been officially approved by the ACRL Standards Committee and the ACRL Board of Directors (Oct 2025)!

This marks a significant milestone for our profession. The competencies provide a thoughtful, values-driven framework organized around four key areas:
•#Ethical Considerations
• #Knowledge & Understanding
• #Analysis & Evaluation
• #Use & ApplicationThe competencies are meant to be adaptable, not prescriptive – a foundation that libraries can shape to their own contexts and needs.
In practice, this means:
• We now have shared language to discuss #AiLiteracy in libraries.
• Institutions can build #professionaldevelopment, training, and job descriptions around these competencies.
• Library workers can engage with AI adoption as critical and informed stewards rather than passive consumers. This is just the beginning. The competencies are a #livingdocument, and my next step as Past President this year is to create a process and group to regularly review and update them as the technology and our work evolve.
Huge thanks to the ACRL Task Force members, the Standards Committee, and the Board for helping make this vision real. Excited to see how libraries everywhere bring these ideas to life.

I'm working on some new documentation for phpDocumentor, how is this better than extending @phpdoc so others can benefit from the changes I do.
An extension that can be used to document restructuredtext directives, and improve the way we handle attributes in phpDocumentor.
xpost - draft - ideas - In Microsoft teams, when you goto create a new chat, there should be an option to classify / specify the chat as a “quiet chat” so that, even if each member of the chat has notifications turned on, in this chat, there would be zero notifications. Maybe at the top of the chat it'd have the 🔕 icon or something like that.

xpost - draft - Thank you Microsoft Teams for being a great, reliable, feature-full cloud chat / communication platform.
1. I'm wondering, on Android, when we want to send a voice memo/voice message, could you give us an option to just press the mic button once to record instead of having to hold it down while we record? I think when I tried it on iOS a couple days ago, it allowed me to do that. Just wondering if you might/could bring that functionality to the android app. Thank you.
a couple other ideas while I'm at it:
2. Maybe transcriptions of voice messages?
3. Maybe a little video button where we could hold it down / give it a tap to record a short video memo, similar to the voice message but with video included. I know we could record a video with our phone and then send it as a video/file, but I wonder if it might be cool to have this built in function as well.

draft - Google chat has a "search in conversation" function. I know Microsoft teams has a search bar that I guess searches *all* your chats, but, does Microsoft teams have something analogous to "search in conversation" that Google chat has?
