»Was ist Keycloak und was hat es drauf?«

Mit dem muss ich mich wirklich mal ernsthaft auseinandersetzen und nicht das Login "neu erfinden". Das Passwords so wie Passkeys jedes mal "neu" zu implementieren macht null Sinn. Cool wäre es, wenn Keycloak früher oder später auch PASETO & Co. integrieren wird.

Die beschissenste Entwicklung des Jahres 2025 ist, dass immer mehr Online Shops und Portale für ihren #Login vom #Passwort hin zu #email #pin wechseln. Ey, ich hab meine Passwörter im Griff, die managed mein #passwortmanager für mich. Was ich aber absolut hasse ist, erst meine Mail App zu öffnen und 10-20sec warten zu müssen, bis die dämliche Mail ankommt. Lasst mich das doch wählen!

Interesting finding: most of the custom 2FA input forms (you know those with single digit input fields) *do not* work on slow internet. Likely because they require some JS bundle that does not download properly or takes forever.
Solution: just use a regular single input field, folks!

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, one of our customers alerted us to an Evilginx MITM phishing campaign targeting university students and SSO portals. At least 18 American institutions were targeted.

We tested several approaches for large-scale detection, including analyzing web server fingerprints and HTTP artifacts. However, this proved challenging because Evilginx operates as a proxy between the victim’s browser and the legitimate login page, making its behavior and content nearly indistinguishable from the real site. In the end, we mostly relied on DNS for confirmation and classification.
