The kitties' health issues are taking a turn for the worse. We're probably nearing their end-of-life sometime within the next year... and could even happen in the next few days, possibly.

Tabitha has acute kidney failure, and is being hospitalized at the vet's office. They're doing some dialysis on her, and hoping it's something solvable (like the UTI infection getting into the kidney).

Tommy isn't eating, and his kidney disease went from early to moderate, so we've now added syringe-feeding of slightly-watered-down paté, and increased subcutaneous fluids to every-other-day.

We'll be taking Tabitha to the emergency vet this morning. Last night, she was constantly trying to pee, and looked like she might be in pain. Hopefully it's just a kidney stone. We stuck her in the kitchen overnight, with food and water and litter and comfy places to lay down that are covered in potty pads. The vet's opens in an hour and a half, and at least one of us has slept enough to do the driving.
