Finished all four seasons of #LoveDeathAndRobots. Gonna need another 5 seasons at once, pretty please. (It was really damn good.)

Never before gone so quickly from “This might be interesting, may as well check it out” to “I need to save this in my personal media collection forever” as I have from watching ‘Love, Death & Robots’. Starting the third season now, and so far every episode ranges from merely good to amazing.

A short review of season 4 of Netflix's CGI-fest, Love Death and Robots, because I can.

Can't Stop
A played entirely straight, no twist, CGI'd Chilli Peppers gig. Don't do this again, LD&R. Seriously. I like the Chilli's but this is not LD&R. Congrats to David Fincher for having the highest-regarded episode in the series (S3's "Bad Travelling" - the ship-bound one with the giant crab monster) ...and now also the worst. A contemptible 0/5

Close Encounters of the Mini Kind
Another tiny-scale short of classic scenes told with wit and humour. Also features the Greyfriars Bobby! You can keep these coming-I won't mind. 4/5

Spider Rose
The second tale from Bruce Sterling's Shapers-Mechanists universe (like S3's "Swarm". That featured Shapers, this showcases Mechanists). A short study of Grief and Isolation. Like Swarm, gorgeous to look at, but a bit lacking in real meat for story this time around. And yes that's a pun on the ending. The "Investors" race shown in both stories (the Quadrapeds with the tentacular mouths) are as fascinating as they are chilling. 4/5

400 Boys
From the Zima Blue team, Passion Animation. Sexy, fucked up, great to look at - seriously wonderful story-boarding, top-level animation and iconic scenes. TERRIFIC soundtrack. #PrimalScream 5/5

The Other Large Thing
Largely forgettable 'Cats are more intelligent than we think they are' drek. And yet another household appliances taking over tale. Enough, LD&R. 1/5

Golgotha
Rhys Darby as a priest! Alien Zealotry. Short eco-tale with a dull, predictable ending and trite moralising. 3/5

The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur
Very Sexy. Rather pretty. Dinosaurs on an orbital Halo hosting naked bread and prehistoric circuses. The Deus Riche get munched. Would have ranked higher but the whole endeavour feels competent rather than truly sparkling. 4/5

How Zeke Got Religion
Vertigo-inducing Hell-on-a-Plane WWII shenanigans. I'm not comfortable with stories where people find religion solely out of severe trauma. There are absolutely Athiests in foxholes. 3/5

Smart Appliances, Stupid Owners
Supermarket own-brand Creature Comforts with none of the wit or charm. 1/5

For He Can Creep
Unoriginal premise, Cats (again!) secretly fight Satan. but told well enough to entertain. Dan Stevens and Jim Broadbent earn this another star simply for being there. (PS: I love cats, but this was just cliché) 3/5

Season Thoughts: Bit of a dip in quality this time around, more around the writing and ideas than the animation, but I still found things to love. Fincher gets a slap for the Chilli Peppers thing. Not quite a shark-jump but too close for comfort, mate. Do better.

I have just watched the Close Encounters of the Mini Kind from Love Death and Robots, it is brilliant, wonderful colours, humour and zips along. #LoveDeathandRobots

I started watching #LoveDeathAndRobots last night and there's a lot more #sex and #nudity than I was expecting. It's good stuff though. I really appreciate that they're short, different styles, and tell a wide variety of stories.

Watched Love Death & Robots season 4. Weird, violent and some gross-out humor, but some episodes were entertaining, especially the two cat-themed ones! The last one (For He Can Creep), co-written by Tamsyn Muir, was the one I personally enjoyed the most, and it makes me now want to read her Locked Tomb series.
I do have to agree with some reviews that overall it wasn't as good as previous seasons.

I generally give each volume of #LoveDeathAndRobots one watch through, even though the tendency to horror is not really my thing. I find I’m most likely to appreciate the whimsy @scalzi brings to the pieces he scripts.

I generally watch each volume of #LoveDeathAndRobots once and whilst clever and creative they’re mostly not too my taste since I’m not much of a horror watcher. I do appreciate the whimsy that @scalzi brings to his installments however…
