In die Tram, die gerade kommt, einsteigen. Aussteigen, wo ich Lust habe, und herumstreunen. Das habe ich heute ausprobiert. An der Kamera hatte ich einen M42-Adapter und daran ein Pentacon 2.8/29-mm-Objektiv. Ich wollte den Charakter der Linse und die manuelle Bedienung ausprobieren. Es war interessant und hat mir auch Freude bereitet, dennoch habe ich herausgefunden, dass ich das in der Streetfotografie so schnell nicht wiederholen möchte....

Series I Fujinon lenses in the M42 mount, the complete collection from 28mm up to 200mm, early 1970s.

They were designed to go with the Fuji ST series of cameras. These are series I as the aperture ring is silver. Series II came shortly after and have a black aperture ring. Several SII had the superior EBC (electron beam coated) glass.

Today a new mate arrived, named Mir-1 2.8/37. Made in Russia. From a time, when "mir" (peace) still had a meaning.

Interesting is the writing "Grand Prix Brussels 1958". But that does not necessarily mean the lens was manufactured that year.

It has been used a lot, focus and aperture rings are a little stiff. But the front and rear glass a fine. And that is what counts.

I just put it on my R7 and rushed out for some quick tests.
